Our History

I have owned GSD's most of my life and cannot imagine life without them.

My first GSD as a child was a dog named Tan. He hated other dogs but I loved him dearly. He died at the age of 12. I was bitten by the shepherd bug now.

The next dog I owned that made a huge impact on my life was Ash, a bi colour male GSD. I learnt so much from him in the short time he was with me. Unfortunately Ash was PTS at the age of 18 months. He was dogged with many problems, severe hip dysplasia, SIBO, collitis and then to top it all a brain tumour. I couldnt see him suffer anymore and it was the hardest thing I have ever done in my life and there is not a day goes by when I don't think of him. I thank him for everything he taught good and bad.

The next GSD I had was chosen by my children and she was a blue and tan long coat. She had a floppy ear but was the most obedient dog you could wish for. She passed all her KCGCS awards acheiving the gold award at just 13 months of age.

Blue was shown at companion shows and did very well.

I lost Blue just after she was 2 years old.

This was such a blow to lose 2 young dogs.

Kaisha joined us in 2003 and luckily was here before Blue died otherwise the story may have been different.

She was a healthy puppy and was full of life and fun. She has been my rock and my best friend through good and bad and I owe everything to her. It was because of Kaisha I started to show.

She has done me proud and has been everything I wanted in a GSD and more. She acheived BPIB 3 times and was regularly placed at open show level.

Kaisha has also been trained up to KCGCS Silver standard.

I bought Ozzy in 2004 as a companion and also a possible stud dog. He acheived BPIB and also BOB twice. In the show ring he did very well and was also trained to KCGCS Bronze level. He was out of one of the first litters in the UK by the top stud dog Ch Benny von der Roten Matter. Unfortunately it wasn't meant to be and Ozzy went to live and be shown in Northern Ireland.

I was granted the KAIOBII affix in 2004 and I used Kaisha's pet name to make this name up.

Kaisha had her first litter in 2005 and her 2nd in 2008.

She is an extremely friendly girl with a superb temperament.

I am an active member and volunteer helpine advisor for the gsd helpline. www.gsdhelpline.com

I was also a training instructor for about 4 years and still do the occasional bit of training. I have also undertaken a behavourist course.

My dogs are first and foremost members of my family & live indoors, I also show and work them.
